Rajasthan will now also be promoted as a trading state

Travelers from all over the world are eager to come to Udaipur and Jodhpur due to their scenic beauty and architectural wonders that come in the form of palaces, forts and havelis, however now, the Rajasthan government plans to turn these cities into cities of businesses by promoting trade and export from here, officials confirmed.

Speaking to IANS, Rajasthan Export Promotion Council (REPC) Chairman Rajeev Arora said: “A new air cargo complex will soon be set up in Udaipur. Rajasthan Small Industries Corporation (RSIC) is working to set up a complex of air cargo at the Dabok airport in Udaipur to facilitate the import and export of goods in the coming months. I met with the president of the AAI and focused on the ground for the same”.

He said, “Indeed, we have applied for permission from the central government to start international flights and air cargo complex in this lake city so that tourists can easily visit this beautiful city and import and export will also be easier from here.” .

The state government is organizing the first international expo in Jodhpur to ensure that it becomes a facilitator of exports and organizes buyers and sellers meetings. We will make sure to bring in buyers to facilitate exports from this city. “Furthermore, we have shortlisted land for PM Gati Shakti to provide multi-modal connectivity to provide seamless and integrated connectivity. It will reduce travel time. In the coming year, exports will also start from Jodhpur,” he added.

“Our target is to bring exports from Rajasthan to Rs one lakh crore, and we are trying to achieve this target,” he added.

Gujarat leads the country’s export charts while Rajasthan ranks 12th. So now we are trying to compete with our neighboring state through three novel initiatives i.e. bringing in the Udaipur air cargo complex, the depot of Jodhpur and this international exhibition, said Arora.
