Indian Wrestling Federation boss Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh gets bail in sexual harassment case | More sports news

NEW DELHI: Delhi Rouse Avenue Courthouse on Thursday granted regular bail to outgoing WFI chief and BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh in the case of alleged sexual harassment of fighting women.
Brij Bhushan was given a two-day provisional bail by the court on Tuesday.
The court also granted bail to wine to drinkthe suspended undersecretary of All India Wrestling Federation (WFI), in the case. The court granted bail to both of them with a personal bond of Rs 25,000 each.
The court imposed various conditions in granting them bail, saying the defendant will not directly or indirectly induce complainants or witnesses and will not leave the country without the court’s permission.
The next hearing date is July 28 for the scrutiny of documents.

Six female fighters filed a complaint against Brji Bhushan for alleged sexual harassment and intimidation during training camps and international competitions. Brji Bhushan has denied all the accusations.
He delhi police had filed a charge sheet against the six-time MP on June 15 under sections 354 (assault or criminal force on a woman with intent to outrage her indecentness), 354A (sexual harassment), 354D (stalking) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (CPI).
Tomar was charged with offenses under IPC sections 109 (institution of any offence, if the act instigated is committed as a consequence and where its punishment is not expressly provided for), 354, 354A and 506 (criminal intimidation).
