Asian Cup: Jasprit Bumrah In Final Stage Of Rehabilitation, Rishabh Pant Back On The Nets: BCCI Issues Fitness Update | cricket news

NEW DELHI – The Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) on Friday issued crucial fitness and medical updates on five international players from India who are currently undergoing rehabilitation in the estimated National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bangalore.
The updates shed light on the progress of these players as they recover from their respective injuries and strive to return to the cricket field at full capacity.
Rehabilitating cricketers in the NCA are: pacers Jasprit Bumrah and Prasidh Krishnamasses Raul KL and Shreyas Iyerand goalie-batsman Rishabh trousers.

“The two fast bowlers are in the final stages of their rehabilitation and are bowling full intensity in the nets. The duo will now play some practice games, which will be arranged by the NCA. BCCI’s medical team is pleased with their progress and will make a final decision after evaluating them after the practice games,” the BCCI statement read.

“They have returned to hitting in the nets and are currently undergoing strength and fitness exercises. The BCCI medical team is pleased with their progress and will increase their intensity in terms of skills, strength and conditioning over the next few days,” the BCCI said.

“He has made significant progress in his rehabilitation and has begun to hit and stay in the nets. He is currently following a fitness program designed for him that includes strength, flexibility and running,” the BCCI added.
